Our clearcoat is not like a standard clearcoat that requires a chemical adhesion. Traditional clearcoat needs to be sprayed over a basecoat. Our clearcoat relies on a mechanical adhesion and is specifically formulated for surface tolerance. Meaning it can be applied over existing paint surface rust, bare metal, patina, Original paint, etc..
Shelf life for the Clear Catalyst is 1 Year unopened. Shelf life for the Clear Coat is 2 years unopened.

Yes our Wipe-On Clear Coat works great to lock in pinstripes or vinyl decals. Our clear coat will also add UV protection to your vinyl decals or pin striping. As always we recommend in a small area before applying over entire pin striping or vinyl decal.
Yes, we would recommend SPRAYING our clear coat over fresh spray paint or any single part paint. Wiping over single part paint or fresh spray paint will rewet the paint and cause the color to drag.
Single part paints will always rewet with solvent no matter how old they are. So if you wipe our clear over them it can rewet and move the color, causing streaks. It is fine if you spray our clear over the single part paints because you’re not dragging anything across the surface.

Yes it works well over 2K primer. 2K meaning 2 part. If a hardener or catalyst mixed with the primer it will do fine. Always test in a small area before applying. If it was a single part primer like aerosol or lacquer type primer we suggest spraying our clear over as wiping could potentially re wet and drag the color. Reach out anytime.
Yes our Clear Coat works great wiped on or sprayed on bed wood.
