Prepping the Surface
● Before applying our Flatte Out Clear Coat, prep the surface by first
washing it thoroughly with our Pre-Soap and water.
● Rinse it well then dry with a Recycled Knit Rag.
● Scuff surface with light gray scuff pad or lightly sand with 600-800 grit
sandpaper.
● After completely dry, clean the surface with our Wax and Grease Remover,
then let dry again.
Spray Application
● Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment. -Apply in a well
ventilated area between 50° Fahrenheit and 77° Fahrenheit ambient and
surface temperature.
● Mix the Flatte Out Clear Coat with our Flatte Out Catalyst 4:1 -With our
HVLP Spray Gun use air pressure of 25-35 psi and conventional
pressure of 50-60 psi is essential for the best results and finish. -At least
two coats should be applied, maintaining a gap of 15-20 minutes
between coats.
● Can be recoated up to 12 hours. After 12 hours the surface must be
lightly scuffed or sanded with 600-800 grit sandpaper before
re-coating.
Cure Time
● Allow it to air dry at 50 degrees or above.
● When forced to dry at 120 degrees, it will take 30 minutes. -If you
need to buff the surface, then sand it with 1500 or finer grit paper
within 24-48 hours of the Clear Coat application.
● Fully cured in 24 hours.
