Application Instructions
*Not Wipe-On, Spray Application ONLY*
Prepping the Surface
- Before applying our Glossed Out Clear Coat, prep the surface by first washing it thoroughly with our Pre-Soap and water.
- Rinse it well then dry with a Recycled Knit Rag.
- Scuff surface with light gray scuff pad or lightly sand with 600-800 grit sandpaper.
- After completely dry, clean the surface with our Wax and Grease Remover, then let dry again.
Spray Application
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment. -Apply in a well ventilated area between 50° Fahrenheit and 77° Fahrenheit ambient and surface temperature.
- Mix the Glossed Out Clear Coat with our Glossed Out Activator 4:1 -With our HVLP Spray Gun use air pressure of 25-35 psi and conventional pressure of 50-60 psi is essential for the best results and finish. -At least two coats should be applied, maintaining a gap of 15-20 minutes between coats.
- Can be recoated up to 12 hours. After 12 hours the surface must be lightly scuffed or sanded with 600-800 grit sandpaper before re-coating.
Cure Time
- Allow it to air dry at 50 degrees or above.
- When forced to dry at 120 degrees, it will take 30 minutes. -If you need to buff the surface, then sand it with 1500 or finer grit paper within 24-48 hours of the Clear Coat application.
- Fully cured in 24 hours.
