Before You Start

For best overall results, thoroughly review all application instructions before beginning your project.

• Ideal application temperature is approximately 75°F with humidity below 60%.

• Product may be applied in direct sunlight up to 100°F without solvent pop or blistering.

• Always wear proper respiratory, eye, and skin protection during mixing and spraying.

• Mix and spray only in a well-ventilated area.

• Practical coverage is approximately 90–100 sq. ft. per 4 Quart Kit.

• Shelf life is approximately 12 months when properly stored.

• Tintable kits require adding approximately 3 oz. of automotive basecoat tint or single stage tint before adding catalyst.

• Automotive basecoat or single stage tint can typically be purchased through your local automotive paint supplier.

Remove Rust & Prep Surface

Remove Rust & Prep Surface

Step 1

• Always wear proper respiratory, eye, and skin protection during mixing and spraying.

(Respirator Mask with Filters)

Remove all loose paint, rust, coatings, and debris from the surface prior to application.

Sand surfaces using 180 grit sandpaper and remove all sanding dust before moving to the next step.

Proper surface preparation directly affects final adhesion and durability.

Clean & Degrease Surface

Step 2

Clean the surface thoroughly using Wax and Grease Remover to remove contaminants, oils, sanding residue, and debris before coating application.

Ensure the surface is fully dry before moving to the next step.

Prime Bare Metal

Step 3

Bare metal surfaces should be properly primed using epoxy primer or etching primer before coating application.

Allow primer to fully cure according to manufacturer recommendations before applying bed liner material.

Mask Surrounding Areas

Step 4

Mask all surrounding areas not intended for coating including paint, trim, hardware, glass, wiring, and surrounding components.

Taking additional time during masking will help produce cleaner and more professional-looking final results.

Mixing Instructions

Mixing Instructions

Step 5
Black Bed Liner Kits

Mix product at a 3:1 ratio.

Each A side container is short filled to allow room for catalyst addition. Add 8oz of catalyst into each A side can, reinstall cap, and shake vigorously for approximately 2 minutes.

Tintable Bed Liner Kits

Before adding catalyst, add approximately 3oz of automotive basecoat tint or single stage tint into each A side container.

Reinstall lid and shake thoroughly until uniform color is achieved.

After tint has been fully mixed, add catalyst and shake for an additional 2 minutes.

Automotive basecoat tint or single stage tint can typically be purchased through your local automotive paint supplier.

Spray Gun Setup & Application

Spray Gun Setup & Application

Step 6

After mixing, remove cap and attach product directly to the included Schutz-style spray gun.

Recommended spray pressure:
• 40–70 PSI

Your kit includes interchangeable spray tips that can be used to help achieve different texture finishes depending on spray pressure, spray distance, and application style.

Before spraying your project, test spray pattern and texture on a piece of cardboard or scrap material to dial in your desired finish.

Apply product to the back and sides of the bed first using smooth even coverage coats.

Allow product to properly flash before applying texture coats.

Proceed to the bed floor and repeat the same application process.

For heavier texture:
• Lower spray pressure
• Allow additional flash time before texture coat application
• Increase spray distance from surface

For a finer texture:
• Increase spray pressure
• Spray closer to the surface
• Apply wetter coats

For best overall texture consistency, apply texture coats while standing outside the truck bed.
